Who We Are
The Parents, teachers and friends association (PTFA) is a small committee made up of parents/carers, staff and the Headteacher. We are a committed and friendly group who, through a varied programme of events held during the year, raise extra funds for the direct benefit of the children of our Mortimer Schools.
The PTFA also exists to provide closer links between home and school and is an excellent way to bring school staff, parents/carers, friends and the wider community together socially in support of the school. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to get involved.
We are very fortunate that the PTFA is an integral part of the school community. The PTFA has raised thousands of pounds, all of which has been spent on improving equipment, facilities and resources to enhance the children’s education.
The PTFA consists of annually elected officers including a Chair, Treasurer and Secretary. We also have a number of other key roles including a Catering Co-ordinator, Foundation Stage Representative and Communication Lead. We meet on a regular basis, usually once or twice per term, with smaller groups meeting, as necessary, to organise our bigger fund raising events.
