Year 4 trip to Calleva
Year 4 had a great walk to Silchester on Monday 5th October to explore the Roman ruins of Calleva. They walked the full perimeter of the wall and found out what the ruins would have looked like during the Roman period. They also found out about the archaeological digs that have taken place in recent years to discover more about this historical site. “It was great to see something in real life that is from so far back in history” – Abi Williams. “The wall had broken down but you can still imagine what it would have been like” – Albert Prior. Thank you very much to parents/guardians for you support with this trip and ensuring that the children all came dressed and prepared for the muddier conditions.
