School Lunches

School Lunches

Children can choose whether to have a school meal or bring a packed lunch in from home.

Our school meals are provided by Dolce and are prepared on the premises. Meals are served fresh and are made from raw ingredients to ensure the meals surpass all government standards.  All children at Mortimer St. John’s are currently entitled to receive a free school meal.

Children order what they would like as part of the morning registration process or parents can pre-order for their children online. For pupils at Mortimer St. Mary’s, meals currently cost £2.35 per day and can be paid for online by credit card or debit order through setting up an online account with Dolce. Payment must be made in advance of meals being taken.

If you are entitled to claim free school meals please apply online at www.westberks.gov.uk/freeschoolmeals ring West Berkshire Council on 01635 42400.  If your child already receives free school meals there is no need to reapply.

Use your log in details to pre-order your school lunch here

Snacks

The children have a snack during the morning. We ask parents to provide this snack; it should be either fresh/dried fruit or fresh vegetables.

We have a no nut policy in school – children are not permitted to bring in nuts in any form, including peanut butter or chocolate & nut spread.
